Kise ryouta

Ryōta Kise (黄瀬 涼太 Kise Ryōta) was one of the Generation of Miracles who now plays at Kaijō High. He is known for his copying abilities, as he can copy any technique he sees, often with more power than the original.

Appearance

Kise also works as a model, so, naturally, he has a "pretty" face. He has yellow/blond, medium long hair and golden eyes. Another distinct feature he has are his long eyelashes. He is tall and athletic. He also has a piercing in his left ear. Out of games, he is often seen in his school uniform, which consists of a white shirt, black tie, gray vest, and formal pants. During games, he wears the dark blue Kaijō jersey with the number 7.

Personality

Kise has a very carefree, outgoing, and a flamboyant personality. He tries to be friends with everybody, including those who seem gloomy and distant (for example Midorima). Kise exclusively adds -cchi to the people who he respects (mostly the Generation of Miracles members) names, such as Kurokocchi (Kuroko), Aominecchi (Aomine) orMidorimacchi (Midorima), and has the habit of ending his sentence with the suffix -ssu.

As carefree as he is off-court, he can be very determined and serious while playing. Because of the teaching of Teikō Junior High, Kise is a one-man player who would prefer to score himself than playing as a team. While playing against Aomine, he says that he just doesn't care about Kaijō winning, and that he just wants to defeat Aomine himself. He says that he's not mature enough to play basketball logically and that his instincts are too strong.[1]
However, he begins to change when Kuroko's team beat him as he tasted a loss for the first time. He begins to train more, he also witnesses his team-mates' faith towards him during his match against Aomine. Moved by them, he succeeded about copying Aomine. That change is visible when in a counter-attack, Kise in a one-on-one against Aomine passed the ball to Kasamatsu instead of trying to score himself. In the semi-finals of the Winter Cup, he does it again and that was not a surprise for Kuroko who knew that Kise has changed.
Because Kuroko was Kise's personal instructor in Junior High school when he first started playing basketball, and also because Kuroko is strong in his own unique way, Kise deeply respects Kuroko - almost to the point of obsession. He always tries to point out how amazing Kuroko is and thinks that they were the best of friends[2] (and he was comically upset when Kuroko said the opposite). He even claimed to have cried every night after Kuroko rejected his offer to play for Kaijō and once referred to this event as "Kurokocchi dumped me". A slight running gag with Kise is that whenever Kasamatsu tries to talk about the Generation of Miracles, Kise always brings up Kuroko in to the conversation and ends up getting hit.
He is shown to be surprisingly perceptive, though it may be because his specialty is watching and copying people. It was revealed in the -Replace- novel that he could immediately tell that Momoi liked Kuroko, though she, at the time, was unsure of her own feelings.

Kuroko's Basketball

Kuroko's Basketball, known in Japan as Kuroko no Basuke (黒子のバスケ?), is a Japanese sports manga series written and illustrated by Tadatoshi Fujimaki. The English rendering The Basketball Which Kuroko Plays also appears in the artwork of the Japanese version. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 2008 to September 2014, with the individual chapters collected into 30 tankōbon volumes by Shueisha. It tells the story of a high school basketball team trying to make it to the national tournament.

  • PLOT
The basketball team of Teikō Middle School rose to distinction by demolishing all competition. The regulars of the team became known as the "Generation of Miracles". After graduating from middle school, these five stars went to different high schools with top basketball teams. However, a fact few know is that there was another player in the "Generation of Miracles": a phantom sixth man. This mysterious player is now a freshman at Seirin High, a new school with a powerful, if little-known, team. Now, Kuroko Tetsuya- the sixth member of the "Generation of Miracles", and Kagami Taiga- a naturally talented player who spent most of middle school in the US, aim to bring Seirin to the top of Japan and begin taking on Kuroko's former teammates one by one.
